As a mom of a tongue tied baby, we were always having issues with our baby being super tight and stiff. We were given a lot of resources and one of our best has been craniosacral therapy with Myra. Affectionately known as “Nanny Myra”, she does an excellent job with our baby boy! On our first visit, she obtained a detailed history of his “birth story” and was able to explain how this correlated with certain areas of his stiffness. She is very knowledgeable in working with babies, and does an excellent job of explaining to parents what she is doing, and why she is doing it. (As a healthcare professional, this is number one in my book!) She’s extremely gentle with him, and knows how to calm him if he gets fussy. She works diligently to find his “tight” spots and works them out with a soft, light touch. We always notice an immediate difference after therapy. His daycare teachers can also tell when he’s recently been to therapy, or even when it’s time to return. Although we are hoping to “graduate” soon, I am so glad to have found this gem to help with my sweet baby’s progress.
We love you Nanny Myra!
No words can describe Myra’s magic touch or the miracles she can perform. We first started seeing Myra because our baby Nolan had a tongue and lip tie. He underwent a laser frenectomy at 1 week old and was melting in Myra’s arms a few days after. He had tremendous difficulty latching since day 1, but after his first session with Myra he latched and hasn’t had a problem with breastfeeding since. Her skills do not stop there! We noticed that he always turned his head to one side and he HATED his stroller and car seat. He just always seemed uncomfortable. Well, Myra was able to quickly diagnose his skull base and cervical tightness. Her delicate hands were able to work their magic and after 1-2 sessions the car seat and stroller became some of his favorite locations.
As an orthopedic surgeon, I am able to have in depth medical conversations with Myra, and her knowledge of anatomy and diagnostic skills in this realm are unparalleled. She has worked miracles for my child, and I will no doubt be sending patients to her in the future. There is just not enough Myra to go around!
I would like to thank you Myra for giving me hope and tremendously easing the pain I’ve been experiencing for several months with just one treatment. After multiple doctor visits and two back injections, I was still unable to function normally without being in pain. After my first visit with you I knew this was exactly what I needed! I am anticipating my next appointment with you knowing that I am on my way to being the active and energetic person I am meant to be. You are truly extraordinary in your field and I thank God for directing our paths to cross!
I have had migraines since I was a child. These have increased in intensity and frequency as I have aged. Cranial sacral therapy, and especially the expertise Myra Buller has in treating migraines, has given me incredible relief. I have experienced immediate relief from a migraine during treatment. I also have chronic pain in my neck that has been eased considerably with regular cranial sacral treatments. Other forms of therapy have not been as effective for me. Myra’s dedication to her patients, her desire to continue to learn and her quest to have the information she needs to help the people she treats is phenomenal.
Our daughter was born with a lip and tongue-tie. This created many challenges when breastfeeding. She had a frenectomy at 3 months old and our first appointment with Myra was the following day. She was a highly sensitive, persistent, and emotional baby. She always seemed tense and uncomfortable. After a few shorts weeks working with Myra, a very happy and silly baby emerged. I am sure her therapy with Myra was the key to her healing. Myra was very in tune with her physical and emotional needs. She always explained everything she was doing and made me feel very comfortable. Now at 9 months old, she has never looked back. We are very thankful to have met and worked with Myra.
When my baby, Levi, was 2 months old, I noticed he would not turn his head to the left and one of his back muscles was larger than the other. He slept in a rock-n-play due to limited space in our FEMA trailer because our home was flooded in the NOT so great flood of 2016. Anyway, when he slept his head was all the way up and to the right, never straight and never to the left. I mentioned it to his doctor and she said to just have him look at a mirror on his left side. After a few days, I figured out that her advice was not working. I remembered that one of my coworkers had the same problem with her baby and so I asked her who she had seen. She said she had seen Ms. Myra Buller. So I researched her and read about the CranialSacral Therapy. I was a little hesitant to call, but eventually did. I needed something because the doctor didn’t seem too worried about it, but the motherly instinct in me said something was wrong. I contacted Ms. Myra, and even though she was about to go out of town for three weeks over the holidays, she and her secretary found a way to fit Levi in due to the severity of his issue. She was wonderful! She was very calm, gentle, and nurturing to my baby. She got in contact with one of her friends who is a physical therapist to see if she could see Levi while she was gone. She also contacted other friends of hers to ask them questions concerning different pillows and neck supports to help Levi. She also put us on the road to getting Levi into the Early Steps Program. After the holidays, we began to see Ms. Myra once a week, and then cut back to every two weeks. She mainly focuses on Levi’s head shape and neck area. In just a one-hour session we were able to feel and see the difference in his head shape! It’s amazing! Mrs. Myra has been wonderful and we will continue to see her every two weeks as Levi grows. Not only does she do therapy on Levi for his head and neck, but if it wasn’t for her, I would have never known about the Early Steps Program and Levi wouldn’t be getting the help he needs.
My 3-year-old daughter, Zoe, is non-motor, severely globally delayed, and has multiple seizures a day. We’ve been going to see Myra for cranial-sacral therapy for just about a year now. Because of Myra’s therapy, Zoe has become more aware of her body and has developed the ability to delay or completely stop some of her seizures. Zoe has been tube-fed for over two years now and lost all ability to chew and swallow. Myra loosened her jaw and mouth enough that Zoe is now able to eat a few bites of baby food – and has discovered she loves to eat! Because of her seizures, Zoe’s always very tight, but after Myra works on her, she’s quite a bit looser and more relaxed and calm, she seems at peace and more in tune with her body.
I have been Myra’s patient for nearly seventeen years. During that time, I have seen her on a weekly basis consistently. Though I have had other physical therapists in the past, Myra is by far the best and most knowledgable. She has kept my body in relatively good condition despite my diagnosis of severe Brittle Bone disease. She’s one of the kindest people you will ever meet and will bend over backwards to help her patients with their ailments. Highly, HIGHLY recommend seeing her!
We can’t say enough good things about Myra! She’s help my sweet Margaret Grace a great deal ! She is very professional and really intuned with your child’s individual needs . If your baby had a traumatic birth and or feeding issues I’d highly recommend Myra Buller.
From the minute you walk into her home- you are family. Myra changed my breastfeeding experience. My little boy Emmett was born tongue tied and without her therapy his torticolis would have left him with many milestone delays. The tongue stretching and exercises she performed allowed us to create a bond that I will cherish forever. Myra was always gentle and explained everything she was going to do with Emmett. As a mother it is very difficult to give someone you just met your baby but Myra had me calm and informed from the get go. I highly recommend her to my friends. She changed my little boy’s life!
Myra Buller is an exceptional cranio-sacral therapist and physical therapist whose extraordinary skill and sensitivity have brought me through many life challenges. Her healing skills reach far beyond the physical. She has been a real treasure in my life!
Myra was a tremendous help for my son’s Torticollis and Plagiocephaly. Myra was highly recommended to me by another Physical Therapist when my son was 10 months old due to his Torticollis. His entire right side of his body was very tight and his left side was weak, resulting in late and improper crawling and walking, jaw misalignment and flat spots on his head. I was afraid my son would always have an oddly shaped head and would be significantly delayed in his gross motor skills development. Myra came to the rescue! After just two sessions with Myra, my son’s flat spots on his head began to disappear! It didn’t take long for him to begin to move properly with equal use of both sides of his body. Myra always goes above and beyond to help entertain my son while she’s working with him. Whether it’s walking in the garden, reading a book, watching the birds, playing on her ipad, or kicking a soccer ball, Myra is able to successfully work on him without him realizing it! My son is now 2 years old and cannot wait to see Nanny Myra on our checkup visits. He’s moving equally and his head is shaped correctly. I know all his progress is directly related to the love and hard work that Myra has given him. Myra has truly been a blessing! I now highly recommend her to everyone as well!
In 2001 I fell from a ladder breaking my pelvis and sacrum. Although I was fortunate to recover and walk after 6 weeks, this injury has continued to affect me many years after. Myra is one of the only practitioners who can move me back into alignment and take me out of pain when my old injury flares up and back pain returns. She does so with expert technical background and a healing touch. She has helped me stay out of pain for several years, and I don’t know what I would have done without her.
The Cranial Sacral work is gentle and effective. Myra has developed expertise and a depth of knowledge with years of practice. When in pain, I can be nervous about someone working on me. Myra puts me at ease. Like many, Myra has old pain and injuries to deal with. It is this experience that makes her especially respectful and careful when working on clients. I have complete confidence and trust in Myra’s ability to take care with my condition, and move me towards healing.
Thank you Myra for many years of relief and guidance.
It is impossible to recommend Myra too highly. Following a major stroke, she was there when we (stroke survivor and caregiver/partner) needed her, providing crucial relief from trauma both physical and emotional. In terms of physical therapy, her craniosacral work is unparalleled in the region, and after moving out of the New Orleans area, we have unfortunately not been able to find anyone anywhere nearly as experienced or gifted. On a personal level, Myra is as warm and caring as they come, so much so that we would look forward to her visits each week; it would not be inaccurate to say those visits were among the high points of our weeks during the most difficult time of our lives. Myra’s body work was particularly helpful in relieving pain and anxiety and helping to restore motor skill function, and her mind/spirit work was invaluable in helping to instill hope and maintain optimism. If you are looking for a craniosacral therapist with a deeply healing spirit, you will not do better than Myra Buller.
Ms. Myra has become part of our family. She started working with John when he was 3 months old. John had a lip/tongue tie revision, laryngomalcia, and dysphagia. When John first saw Myra, he could barely turn his head to the left side, clenched fists and had an overall tightness in his body. I cried during the first session with Myra as it was the first time I saw my baby eat so much on his bottle. I was overwhelmed with emotions. Since working with Myra, John can now turn his head both directions. He no longer keeps his fists clenched and is meeting all his milestones. We continue to work with her on the dysphagia but he is getting better with her help. We feel so at home with Myra, or as we like to call her, Nanny Myra.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing Myra for 4 months. She is a gifted and dedicated CranioSacral therapist. I have gotten tremendous relief from TMJ pain from the sessions. Myra brings both incredible knowledge and skill coupled with tender compassion and sensitivity. She also makes you laugh and relaxed during treatment. She also shares recipes for the best ever gumbo. Your health will improve with treatments from this wonderful woman.
We’ve been seeing Nanny Myra for the last 2 years for my son, Calum. She has been a huge blessing in our lives. Myra’s knowledge, ease with children, and gifts with CST have moved mountains towards healing for my sweet boy! Light and warmth radiate from her and we always look forward to our sessions with her. Thank you Myra for helping Calum heal and encouraging/supporting me on our journey!
